our  MINISTRies   make   a  difference.

We have three core ministries at UCC Church.

Feed the Need is an outreach ministry of UCC Church, created in 2011 as an ongoing endeavor to provide food assistance to the nearly 90,000 people in Marion County who rely daily on food assistance programs. Feed The Need operates a weekly food pantry that serves approximately 300 families (more than 750 individuals) on a monthly basis, all primarily from the southeast side of town, where the church is located. Individuals are greeted and then politely guided by our friendly, expedient volunteers to the food distribution areas.

Note: WE CURRENTLY ONLY SERVE RESIDENTS IN THE 46203 ZIP CODE.

When: 1st & 3rd Tuesday’s -1:00-3:00pm

1.      feed   the   need.

2.      toys  of joy.

Purpose: The Purpose of Toys of Joy, Inc. is to assist families with children that have been hit with hard times. In these perilous economic times we understand that it is often the children that suffer the most. These small victims of economic hardship have no ability to understand recession, unemployment, or downsizing. Just as they don’t often understand addiction, dependence, or abuse. All these little hearts know is that they go without.

Goal:  Toys of Joy Inc. wishes to be a blessing to disadvantaged children in the Indianapolis area.  We will go about this by charging the community, local business and government leaders to help by donating resources and time so that disadvantaged children can have a Merry Christmas.

Vision: In an ideal world, Toys of Joy, would not need to exist, as the ultimate vision of the organization is to eradicate need from our community. However, in our current state, the vision is clear, to be a blessing to those children that so often fall through the cracks of other similar organizations. We want to ensure that all children can have a wonderful & joyous holiday season.

Toy’s of Joy Inc. has partnered with the Indianapolis Urban League to try and provide assistance to those that may fall between the financial cracks. We want to demonstrate, by providing toys to needy children, that we are reaching back to help our communities personally and expressing the true meaning of the Christmas Season. In order to achieve its goal, Toys of Joy will need the assistance of community partners and sponsors.

Community partners will be asked to hold drives, rallies and circulate Toys of Joy material to its members, participants, staff, and students---encouraging them to donate unopened, newly packaged children’s items on site (in case of drives or rallies) or to another designated partner location that will be accepting items.
